Here’s A little glory for your Monday Cup. Have a beautiful week!
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NRSV)
From my table in Starbucks this morning, I can see the parking lot bathed in morning light, the trees drenched in light and multi-colored glory. Glory: the sun rising as Leah and I finish our walk, transforming the darkness into pink “Dumbo” clouds. Here’s the glory, if you’re wondering: it’s right here in the drive to school and in the bus on the way to work. The glory fills, and spills Himself all over us if we let it. Blue skies and foggy valleys, pumpkins orange and green and white. Glory paints our lives, and we can reflect Him if we look straight into it. Don’t miss it this week: your chance to taste and see Him, to grow from one glory to the the next.
Lord, teach us to see you in the pumpkins and the morning mist. Teach us to look straight into this moment, so that we can keep growing in glory and our understanding of You. Amen.
