I just wanted to give a shout out to the Mental Health Grace Alliance, who is featuring my post, When You Need a New Prayer, on their blog this week. MHGA is an awesome organization I first discovered through the International Bipolar Foundation‘s webinar, “Rethinking Mental Health Care: The Role of the Church in Recovery.

MHGA’s vision is “To be the leading peer provider movement for mental health recovery and support accessible to anyone, anytime, anywhere … and globally influencing and innovating the mental health care system and community support.” This means they work to equip patients, their spouses and families, and church communities with training and support groups to compliment traditional mental health services.

Within the mental health community, there are few places to discuss both faith and mental illness. MHGA is trying to change that. Make sure to visit their website and have a look around.
